Hi! My name is Clinton Omondi & I’m the CEO & Founder of Endless Love Foundation. I grew up
from a small village in Western province of Kenya. A small kid with brighter vision of one day becoming an engineer, be wealthy & give back to the needy. “Education is the Key,” a saying that most African kids were told growing up. All I wanted was to work hard in school, pass my classes with flying colors & being a great asset for my people.
I wasn’t privileged enough to have everything but all I was thankful for was the fact that I had stable meals, a roof over my head, proper education, adequate clean water, complete family, & most importantly Endless Love that our youths of today lack the most. “ It takes a village to raise a child,” they said. This proverb from the wise men doesn’t really exist in our society as it is beginning to fade away. The love for humanity, the love for the less fortunate, joining forces as a community to help those in need & raising that needy child, undisciplined, share meals & words of wisdom is what our community lack.
I grew up in an orphanage led by my mother who had passion in raising street kids, orphans, mentally challenged, the disabled among many others facing unavoidable circumstances. For me, these kids represented my family, I saw them as my brothers & sisters. I also was able to witness my mother spread her kindness in an orphanage she worked for at the time. She gave her pure love and efforts into making sure the children felt at home. She’s a big inspiration of why I want to make an impact today.
At the age of 8 the most devastating thing I remember was during the post election violence, whereby our presidential leaders turned the Kenyan citizens into tribal massacre. I grew up watching poverty, drought & famine take over. Hungry kids, poor education system, lack of job opportunities, & most importantly lack of endless love to the less fortunate. I saw several families go days without stable meals, some only had breakfast or lunch or dinner while sometime nothing at all. Some lacked roofs over their heads, some mistreated by their relatives leaving them with no choice but escaping for the streets, some were even sexually abused by their relatives.
My upbringing and these experiences, are my drive for this organization. My desire is to use my story to empower, shine light, bring hope. In many ways I want to be the product of the African dream. I strongly believe in this dream called serving the world’s poorest with radical transparency in that I have never stopped fighting for it.
